Why eloping on Vancouver Island is so special…
Vancouver Island offers so many ways to create an elopement that feels truly personal to you!
Maybe you imagine standing barefoot on the beach as the waves roll in. Perhaps you're drawn to towering trees, lush rainforest, and the quiet feeling of being surrounded by nature. Or maybe you've always dreamed of exchanging vows somewhere with sweeping coastal views. Your elopement doesn't have to look like anyone else's. It can be an adventure, a quiet moment together, or a day filled with little details that reflect who you are as a couple.
This is literally one of my favourite things about helping couples elope here on the island. There's no single way your wedding day needs to look, period.
The challenge isn't finding somewhere beautiful. It's finding the right place for you and turning that vision into a day that flows naturally, feels meaningful, and gives you space to enjoy being together. That's where having someone who knows Vancouver Island and understands elopements can make all the difference.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you start
One of the biggest misconceptions about eloping is that it should be easy to plan simply because it's a smaller wedding. And yes, in some ways, it is much simpler. However, when you're planning an elopement in a destination you may not know well or at all for that matter, there are still plenty of details to consider. You'll need to think about your ceremony location, photography, officiant, timing, florals, travel logistics, and what happens if the weather doesn't cooperate. You'll want to make sure everything works together so you're not spending your wedding day worrying about what's supposed to happen next. On top of this, you’ll have to give thought to what happens on your actual elopement day. Who will pick up your bouquet, cake, charcuterie or other food etc, on the morning of your elopement?
And if you're planning from out of town, figuring out who to trust and which locations will actually work for your vision can feel like a project in itself. You might not even know which questions to ask yet and that is completely okay and understandable!

Finding a location that feels like you
You don't need to spend hours searching for the perfect beach, forest, or coastal overlook.
Once you are all booked in, I gather a little bit more info from you and put together a list of personalized locations based on your preferences and needs. I'll help you explore the options that suit your vision and the experience you want to have. We'll consider the scenery, the practical details, mobility issues, logistics and what makes sense for your day.
Whether you have a very specific location in mind or need help discovering what's possible, we'll work toward finding a setting that feels absolutely perfect for you!
Bringing all the details together
An elopement is made up of so many little pieces. Photography, ceremony details, timing, florals, vendor hiring and coordination, day of coordination, timeline planning, and other services all need to work together in cohesion.
Rather than leaving you to coordinate everything on your own, I'll help organize the details included in your personalized elopement experience so you can spend less time (or zero time at all!) managing logistics and more time looking forward to your elopement day.
Once the details have come together and vendors hired, i will strategically introduce you to your vendors starting with the most important ones. This part is where you get to basically sit back and watch things come to life.
One month before your elopement date, we will have a zoom call and go over vendors and finalize your elopement day timeline! You will receive a document with your final timeline with vendor timelines coordinated along with a few other tips and tricks for your day.
Making room for you to actually enjoy your wedding day
This is actually the most important part of it all! Your wedding day shouldn't feel like a list of tasks you need to complete. You shouldn't have to spend it checking the timeline, answering vendor questions, or worrying about whether everything is coming together.
With thoughtful planning and the right support, you can be present with each other and enjoy the experience you've chosen.
