Josh & Joanna

Through this outpouring of love, came their neighboring Soggy Bottom farm’s generous offer to host and help J & J’s dream elopement come back to life.

J & J’s week leading up to their elopement was nothing short of stressful when on the week of their big day, tragedy struck; the main barn at the breathtaking Yellow Point Farms, where their special day was set to take place, was engulfed in flames in the middle of the night. With the damage and devastation caused by the fire, the venue was understandably no longer a possibility for their elopement (cue the stress for all of us) . J & J’s dream farm elopement reality (complete with baby goat photo ops) was looking glib. Following the devastating loss, the community of Yellow Point rallied together in a beautiful display of support and kindness, coming to the aid of the farm owners and helping to piece together the aftermath of the disaster. Through this outpouring of love, came their neighboring Soggy Bottom farm’s generous offer to host the elopement and help J & J’s dream elopement come back to life.

And dreamy it was. Despite the gentle rain, the last-minute venue change was nothing short of enchanting. The farm wowed with a stunning and meticulously manicured garden pond as well as a breathtaking view of the lake where J & J shared their vows surrounded by a few of their nearest and dearest. Following the ceremony, the two were a delight to photograph throughout many stunning backdrops around the property. Their relationship’s caring and endearing nature shined as the two had their portraits taken, unbothered by the rain continuing to sprinkle down on them. Having faced the last-minute changes and challenges to their day, J & J handled their first challenge as a nearly-wed couple them with the utmost ease and grace.

In a touching display of kindness, Yellow Point Farms owners even transported their adorable week-old baby goats to the site to grant the couple’s wish to have photos with them. They truly helped being the joy and magic to the day, even amidst the difficulties they were facing. We would like to extend a special thank you to both Yellow Point Farms and Soggy Bottom Farm for their unwavering kindness and support in ensuring that J & J’s elopement was everything they dreamed of. Their selflessness and generosity helped to make their special day truly unforgettable!

Smith Lake Farm Elopement

Beneath the trees, a charming glamping site overlooking the lake set the stage for N&H’s heartfelt elopement at Smith Lake Farm in Comox Valley

COMOX VALLEY, BC

Beneath the trees, a charming glamping site overlooking the lake set the stage for Natalie and Harry’s beautiful and heartfelt elopement ceremony at Smith Lake Farms in picturesque Comox Valley. A beautifully crafted floral arbor stood tall beneath the shaded site in the warm June sun with nothing but the sound of the wind and occasional bellowing bullfrogs of the nearby lake.

With only their two children present and the soulful "Sitting on the Dock of the Bay" by Otis Redding playing after their first kiss, Natalie & Harry’s elopement was a true intimate celebration of the special love this little family shared. There were many special moments of laughter, heartfelt vows and a few tears shed by all those present (including us!), each one emphasizing the couple's unwavering love for each other. Their added beautiful gesture of presenting cedar roses to their children during their ceremony thoughtfully symbolized their commitment to growing together as a family.

Natalie and Harry’s elopement was a true honor to be a part of, reminding us of the inherent significant of the work we are so passionate about and LOVE to do! On that day, we were reminded of the joy and purpose in curating such magical moments for couples and their families as they embark on their journey as a married couple from that day forward. We extend our warmest wishes to Natalie and Harry as they start their forever together!
