Horne Lake BC Autumn Elopement • A&B

A&B’s autumn elopement at Horne Lake was filled with so much love, romance and intention. They planned every last detail from their campsite, to their cake that a friend made and they decorated before they ate.

These two picked out their elopement ceremony spot a few months prior to their elopement. On the day, Horne Lake campground was quite busy with families camping, so we quickly made a plan. While they were getting ready, we quickly scoped the area and found a beautiful spot in the woods, along with a few chanterelle mushrooms. The light was perfect, the autumn vibes were there and the only sounds were the birds and their dog chomping on treats!

After they signed and made their love official, their dog got his time in the spotlight by signing their wedding certificate with his paw! (Insider tip… this is why we tell you to bring your pups). Alabama changed her shoes to her favorite Blundstones and they took an intimate walk hand-in-hand back to the campground.

We met in the parking lot and found a beautiful spot for portraits, then went back to their campsite to get their canoe. The other campers had retreated back to their sites for campfires so we took advantage of the quiet beach. We went down to the water where we all laughed and chatted about their ceremony and prayed the canoe wouldn’t tip them into the water!

A&B’s autumn elopement was so beautiful and stunning and one we will remember for years to come! For that is the exact reason couples elope… their day, done their way! No extra stress of guests or opinions… it was truly perfection!
